![]() ![]() The FS250R does serve's as our "everyday weedeater's, and does not require going back to the trailer to get something larger in the thick or lush grass, or for right or way trimming either. At 13.0 lbs it might be heavy, but a FS140 4-Mix unit is right their at 12.3 lbs in weight too. Nothing equals the FS250R at 40.2CC & 13.0 lbs in the same class "heavy duty" line trimmers.įor me the FS250R is highly productive & bulletproof, and for that worth the money at $499 out the door and you will never be lacking power/torque. In defense of Stihl i have went through or "wore out" Shindy & Red-Max line trimmer's quickly too. I remove all my trimmer head guards, and run extend line out, the FS250R swings the extra line with ease. if you leave the guards on the FS130 will do fine. The 4-mix FS130's are not their yet in the power & torque vs a "true" 2-stroke, per (engine CC) in the same class, overall 4-mix reliability is still an issue for me. Funny thing I have all these extra attachments from old FS90's & FS130 4-mix power heads around, that have blown up or broke down over the years. That's just a concern and theory, of course I don't have anything concrete, other than Craftsman's, er, AYP's, er Electrolux, er, Husky's history.I have been using all the Stihl head attachments with all my FS250R's with ZERO issues for some three years. I'm just afraid that we will start seeing what used to be high end product in the box stores and they are being sold cheaper than I can buy them and they are not going to be good products. The only thing that has me concerned about this whole thing is that Husky has a bad rep for saying things won't change (at least not while there is still a warehouse full of product). And Husky does make some nice saws, that's for sure. True, RedMax has needed bigger saws for some time now. (Personally while RedMax is still RedMax, they need to stick to trimmers and blowers) Also, the only down to the Strato Charged engine is that they are a little cold blooded, but that's about it. Their trimmers are pretty good, but they are mostly riding on the good name of their saws. Stihl makes excellent saws, and if you talk to an honest Stihl dealer he'll tell you that they should stayed making saws. With the new Strato Charged technology and overall quality, it would make a great addition to your equipment. The table below shows the key features of each trimmer, what you can expect, the cost, and the warranty: Stihl Trimmer ECHO Trimmer Specific Model: Stihl FS 56 RC-E 16.5 in. I guess back to the original question of the topic. Stihl vs ECHO Trimmers: Comparison table based on key features. That's just a concern and theory, of course I don't have anything concrete, other than Craftsman's, er, AYP's, er Electrolux, er, Husky's history. If the numbers look familiar, it shouldn’t be a surprise. One thing to note is the blower’s generous 77.8-ounce fuel tank. RedMax doesn’t get as much love as other brands in the gas sector, but Pro’s should consider the 47-Newton blowing force of the EBZ8560. This is like saying corvettes are not as good as mustangs because you had a Cruz that wasn't that great. RedMax EBZ8560/EZ8560-RH Backpack Blower.
